This early July, all students, professionals and other citizens are on the streets to celebrate Canada Day. It is a traditional day of great pride and joy that will make your stay in Montreal unique. The city of Montreal is decked out in its most beautiful colours. Thus the emblematic red and white colours, presented on its flag, float in the wind.
THE MUNICIPAL CELEBRATION
It begins in the greatest solemnity by the Slavic of honour with the firing of 21 cannon shots. The flag is also raised. The ceremonial character of the ceremony continues with speeches by eminent representatives. Whether from Canadian political, civil or military society, the speeches are edifying. Lulled by the military music of Fusilier Mont Royal.
A MOMENT OF CONVIVIALITY
It's a moment full of history that Studyland encourages you to visit during your internship in Montreal. From 2pm onwards, the day is more festive. Indeed, the tasting of a cake of more than 2,000 pieces is offered to the participants of the day. This is a real moment in Canadian life around the values of tolerance, sharing and welcome. Values that are dear to Canadians, as you will be doing every day in student life in Montreal.
AN AFTERNOON ALWAYS UNDER THE COLOURS OF CANADA
The afternoon continues under the sign of communicative joy. In short, it is punctuated by various activities bringing together all generations. From the youngest to the most experienced, not forgetting university students and other travellers passing through Canada, everyone benefits from this event. It would seem that your origin is not important. Indeed, an atmosphere of pride and fraternity emanates from the crowd and unites everyone.
AT THE END OF THE DAY
The day ends with a concert featuring Canadian and international artists. This sound show is accompanied by fireworks in the colours of Canada.
This day is the most representative of Canadian culture, mentality and life. A moment not to be missed to take full advantage of the Studyland summer workshop experience in Montreal!
